Home Exercises

In these stressful and trying times, being physically fit is hard achieve but that doesn’t mean we can’t. You can do exercises with or without equipment, and wherever you are, whether it’s at home, in your kitchen, in your bedroom, or where you’re actually sitting. Finding a way to adapt to these new conditions is vital to maintaining our health.

Here are some home exercises you can do to stay healthy and keep yourself in top shape:

1. Yoga

Yoga can be done almost anywhere. What you need to get going is a yoga mat, comfortable apparel, and a program. You can order the yoga mats and other supplies from various online sources for home delivery. Since the pandemic, there are multiple yoga classes available online.

2. Brisk Walking, Jogging, or Running

Such exercises are activity of moderate intensity which greatly aid the body in using oxygen. Such exercises also help the lungs, reduce blood pressure, improve endurance and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases

3. Weight/resistance training

Most of us do not have an in-home gym, but you can still train at home using some purchased equipment online like dumbbells or resistance bands. If you do not want to spend the money, you can use common household products to make your own weights.

4. Stretching

Stretching exercises can use less oxygen and cause the heart to pump a little less, but the heart may still benefit from stretching and exercise strength.

Our present condition may have made it impossible for you to engage in your preferred types of exercise. While doing, it’s natural to feel that working out isn’t as fun, or even stressful. Do not beat yourself up. Start reflecting on how much better you would feel after you work out.
